Liz Perry

Liz Perry received her BFA from Alfred University's College of Ceramic Art and Design, where she studied lithography, silkscreen, etching and collagraph printing techniques, working mainly with printmaker and photographer John Wood. She has also studied at The Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, The New Jersey Printmaking Association, and participated in workshops with the late Minoe White, lithographer Pamela Moore of New York City, and Joyce Zavorskas of Cape Cod. Ms. Burkitt has won awards for her prints at The Cummaquid Fine Arts Gallery, The Cape Cod Museum of Fine Arts, and her work can be found in many private and public collections. She is a past president of The Printmakers of Cape Cod. Her printmaking techniques include small editions of collage style collagraph prints, hand stenciling, and one of a kind watercolor and oil base ink monoprints, inspired by Cape Cod's rich colors and images relating to the Cape's woods, ponds and surrounding beaches. While much of her work reflects the moods and colors of the Cape, other prints are based on abstract forms inspired by Ms. Burkitt's love of Japanese woodcuts, poetry, and many kinds of music. She lives and works in Brewster.
